A farm-to-table restaurant that began in Saint Vincent and is now opening a new home in the Appalachian mountains. We designed the visual identity and logo to carry it across. This project is a work in progress.
The Ranch at Huffles made its name in Saint Vincent cooking from the land around it. Opening a second location in Appalachia meant arriving somewhere new without losing what made it worth the trip.
The brief: a visual identity and logo that feel rooted in both places. Warm and generous like the food, grounded enough for a working farm, and polished enough to sit on a menu, a napkin and a sign by the road.

The wordmark pairs a tall, confident serif for “The Ranch” with spaced capitals for “at Huffles.” The final letter of “Ranch” ends in a spoon, a small nod to the table that you notice the second time you look.
The palette comes from the food and the land: Tuscany orange as the primary, Obsidian as the secondary, with Fog, Garnet, Avocado and Caramel for the harvest in between. Together they read as a long table set outdoors, and they travel as easily to the Caribbean as to the Blue Ridge.
